Location and Parking

The Biblical Voices Programs will be held above the Christian Science Reading Room maintained by First Church of Christ Scientist, Washington, DC at 1782 Columbia Road, NW.

To access the second floor of this building use the door just between the Reading Room and the business, Valdemar Travel.

Parking is behind the large domed fenced church located just a few feet west of the Reading Room even though its address is 1770 Euclid Street. When driving past the Reading Room, be sure to immediately bear right which takes you automatically onto Euclid Street and goes right in front of the church. Turn right immediately at the stop sign, which is Champlain Street. Go about 100 feet and turn into the parking lot immediately behind the church.

Then there is a path at the far end of the parking lot leading back to the front of the Reading Room.

Public Transportation

Metrorail: The nearest stop is Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan on the Red Line.

Metrobus: Fares are $1.35 or 0.60 cents for Seniors. Buses H1, 42, and 43 stop at the corner of Biltmore St. NW (18th St.) and Columbia Rd. See the websites below for specific time schedules for these bus routes. Other buses stop at nearby intersections. For a metrobus map, visit WMATA

Circulator Bus: There is a Circulator Bus (Green route) that takes passengers from the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metrorail stop (red line) to and from the intersection of Adams Mill Rd. NW and Columbia Rd. NW, across the street from the Reading Room. The bus runs every 10 minutes, 7 am to Midnight everyday of the week. $1 bus fare or 0.50 cents if a senior or using SmartPass. Driving Directions

From the North (Balitmore or I-95 S):

Take I-95 South, Take I-495 West toward Silver Spring via Exit 27, Take New Hampshire Avenue south via Exit 28B toward Takoma Park, pass through one roundabout, staying on New Hampshire.

Turn Right onto Park Street, Turn Left onto 13th St., and then turn Right onto Columbia Rd. NW.

1782 Columbia Rd. NW will be on your left, after Euclid St.

From the Northeast (Greenbelt or 295 S, i.e. Baltimore/Washington Parkway):

Take 295 S or Baltimore/Washington Parkway South. Merge onto 50 West New York Ave. NE toward Washington.

Turn Right on Florida. Florida becomes U Street. Turn Right onto 18th St. NW

Turn Right onto Columbia Rd. NW and 1782 Columbia Rd. NW will be on your right, after 18th St. and before Euclid St.

From the South (Alexandria, VA):

Take Rte. 1 or Jefferson Davis Highway north. Merge onto I-395/Rte. 1 North toward Washington.

Keep to the left at US-1 via Exit 1 toward the National Mall. Stay Straight to go onto 14th St. NW.

14th St. becomes Thomas Circle NW. Go northwest onto Massachusetts Ave by going halfway around the roundabout and then veer right (going northwest) onto Mass Ave. Pass through another roundabout which intersects with Rhode Island, staying on Mass. Ave.

At the Dupont Circle roundabout, turn slight right onto Connecticut Ave. NW. Turn slight right onto Columbia Rd. NW.

1782 Columbia Rd. NW will be on your right, after 18th St. and just before Euclid St.

From the West (Reston, VA):

Take I-66 East. Take Exit 73 toward Rosslyn/Key Bridge. Stay straight to go onto US 29-Lee Hwy. Turn Left onto N Lynn St, which is still US 29. Turn Right on M Street NW. Turn left onto 29th St. NW. Turn Right onto Q St. Turn Left on Connecticut Ave. Turn Slight Right onto Columbia Rd. N.W.
